Are you looking for a way to use WordPress text widget to run PHP codes? While there’s probably a plugin for this, we have created a quick code snippet that you can use to run PHP codes in WordPress text widget.
Instructions:
All you have to do is add this code to your theme’s functions.php file or in a site-specific plugin:
function widget_text_exec_php( $widget_text ) { if( strpos( $widget_text, '<' . '?' ) !== false ) { ob_start(); eval( '?>' . $widget_text ); $widget_text = ob_get_contents(); ob_end_clean(); } return $widget_text; } add_filter( 'widget_text', 'widget_text_exec_php', 99 );
Make sure that you use the standard tag while adding PHP codes in the Text widget.
